About this one of a kind, handmade box: The figure on the box top is entirely hand built. I use no molds. All by hand.
Glazes used: figure and box are gray green glossy glaze. Photos are a bit more green cast than actual box.
Designed as a memory box, a special place to put my old Greyhound's tags and collars after he was no longer with me, the box could also be used for a urn for cremains if you choose. This box will hold approximately 12 cups. For more information about how much each box holds visit my blog http://greyhoundsculptor.com/2009/01/24/sizes/
Exterior dimensions: about 15 1/2 inches high x 6 inches wide x 6 inches deep.
This box has a glaze flaw - my greyhound Sage was sniffing this box right before I glazed it. I didn't think anything of it. But it turns out his wet nose brushing against the box was enough to make the glaze resist on a small part of one side. See photos. So this box is signed by the artist and the artist's greyhound?
